KKECS Institute of Management is the fruit of joint efforts
of eminent personalities who have founded the Karnataka - Kaveri
Educational and Cultural Society at Bangalore, the capital of Karnataka
State, India.
The business world of the new millennium is constantly on the look
out for thoroughbred management professionals suitably qualified
in the latest methodologies of managing men and matters. A vast
career opportunity at global level has opened up for the right candidates.
And career opportunities are multiplying with every passing day
creating shortage of talents in the field of management.
KKECS grasped the ground realities of the situation and felt
the need to provide proper education and training in management
techniques to young and upcoming career aspirants. It was decided
to set up an institute to offer courses in Commerce, Business Administration
and Information Technology both at bachelor and master degree levels.
KKECS Institute of Management thus came into being in the year 1994-95.
Location:
Geographically placed in a better position at the centre of South
India, Karnataka is one of the most advanced and prosperous states
in India. Rich in natural resources, the state took the lead in
adopting modern technology in the nineteenth century itself, as
the princely state of Mysore. It was the first to produce and use
electricity in India. With a long seacoast on the west and proper
road, rail and air links on all other directions, Karnataka has
been an ideal tourist/investment preference. Dense tropical forests,
rivers and waterfalls, palm swaying golden beaches, architecture,
art and culture add its importance.
Karnataka's heritage dates back to thousands of years. It is on
the fast track of further development in its infrastructure, core
industries, communication and particularly, in Information Technology.

One can easily appreciate the blend of tradition and technology
in today's Karnataka.
